LEG  ONE
1 – 9 September 2018

The Oceanic Race Huelva – La Gomera remember the first stage of the first Columbus travel to the discovery of the New World.

Starting at Mazagón (Huelva, Spain), the race runs along the Atlantic Ocean arriving at the Canary Island of La Gomera. The sailing distance to cover is approximately 750 miles under the blow of the Trade Winds, in pure ocean conditions and it usually takes between 3 and 6 days.
A true ocean adventure for the ocean sailing lovers, and even for those having the wish to live a first ocean experience, which for the most of them will be the starting point to feel the true ocean sailing emotion, and carry on further away, across an ocean, to La Habana, Cuba.

LEG  TWO
24 November (18-25 days)

The Oceanic Race La Gomera – La Habana remember the second stage of the first Columbus travel to the discovery of the New World.

Starting at San Sebastián de la Gomera (Canary Islands, Spain), the race runs across the Atlantic Ocean arriving at La Habana (Cuba). The sailing distance to cover is approximately 3600 miles under a direct route  and it usually takes between 18 and 25 days.
A true ocean adventure with beautiful tricky ending scenarios getting across Bahamas and Turks & Caicos Archipelagos. A true challenge.

GENERAL INFORMATION

LEG 1
Racers reception will be held at Marina Deportiva de Alicante on Monday 27 of August 2018.

Next day we will start our training program ( Fast Sailing Tips, Nav Software, Performance Enhancing & Analysis, Sleep Managing, Safety, Maneuvers, Boat Managing, Celestial Nav), sailing to the Strait of Gibraltar and then to the starting port at Mazagón (Huelva). We start sailing since you are on board enjoying the program until Race starts 1 of November.

LEG 2
Racers reception will be held at San Sebastian de la Gomera on Saturday 17 of November.

As soon as you come on board we will start the Training Program, sailing the Canary Islands Archipelago, and getting ready everything for Racing Start to La Habana, Cuba.
